Whoa Nellie indeed, as this second-generation freak rock two-piece from Sacramento takes that Don Cab instrumental tech mania recently invigorated by the likes of the Oxes and sets the stakes so high that no one else can, well, pony up. This 35-minute debut is so dense in fact that you'll be grateful of its brevity; in order to play back the other half of the drum/guitar tennis match volleying that you surely missed. With hooks this crazed, yet catchy, racing through your head long after listening, you might want to think about lowering that pesky cholesterol count.
