Hear a Version of Van Halen's "Jump" That Feels Fitting for the Times We're Living In

Spoiler alert: it's a bit depressing

YouTube mash-up maestro Bill McClintock has graced the internet with Van Halen's "Jump" as you've never heard it before — melded with Hank Williams' "Your Cheatin' Heart" from 1952.

As everyone knows, the glam-metal classic "Jump" is one of the most massively exuberant slices of '80s rock with extra cheese. If you're familiar with the country standard "Your Cheatin' Heart," you know that it's... well, not a similar vibe by any stretch of the imagination.

The resultant Vank Walen piece is uncomfortable, sure, but you've gotta roll with the punches and get to what's real. Is it an odd pairing? Yes. Simply twisted of McClintock? Perhaps.

Listen to the mash-up below to experience some strong emotions in any number of directions.

Thanks to MetalSucks for the tip.

Previously unseen footage from 1981 of Van Halen performing "So This Is Love?" in an Italian dinosaur park recently surfaced.
