Respected producer/DJ Gavin Hardkiss (of the "brothers" Hardkiss) takes his psychedelic up-tempo dance music from the turntables to the computer terminal, assembling an entire album of absurdly catchy and soulful cuts. Bearing hallmarks of trance, funk, hip-hop, house and lots of weed, Heatstroke is a masterwork of breakbeat ideology, filtered bass lines, tribal stomping and sheer naïve joy. Fuck negativity.
