Hanover Saints

Truth Rings Out

BY Rob FerrazPublished Jan 1, 2006

The Hanover Saints are three blokes from Sacramento that want to restore hope and have some fun through their music. They're going for the Dropkick Murphy's crowd on this, although they don't beat you over the head with working-class imagery about dockworkers and the like. The singer/guitarist used to be in a band called Anguish Unsaid. There's also some second wave punk influence on some of these tunes, especially "When The Truth Rings Out," which features a Stiff Little Fingers-style opening. Although they seem committed to what they're doing, the songs lack the spark to keep the listener interested, making for a boring experience.
