The rap world lost one of its greats last year when Gang Starr MC Guru passed away from cancer, but a new Converse sneaker is making sure we won't forget the fallen star anytime soon.
The limited-edition variation on the classic Chuck Taylor All-Stars, done up by the X Label and Venice Beach, CA store the Ave Venice, pays tribute to Guru's early career.
The sneaks, dubbed "the Keithy E Demo Tape Shoe," are splayed with, appropriately, the artwork for Guru's first demo tape from back in 1986, when he went by the name Keithy E. The press release furthers that Keithy E's signature is scrawled across the tongue of the shoe.
The footwear will be pressed in a limited run of 50, with each pair being numbered, while also sporting the title of one of 50 Guru classics. Here's hoping we get we score "Loungin'"
