Montreal noise-rock aggravators the Great Sabatini have let loose more details about the "corrosive tones" found on their upcoming Dog Years LP, as well as the tour routing behind their previously teased tour.
As previously reported, the band's third full-length effort is due June 2 through Solar Flare Records, and a press release now confirms that the album contains 10 tracks recorded, mixed and mastered by Sean Pearson (Cursed, Shallow North Dakota). The set is said to feature "slamming chords and caustic vocals" inspired by the likes of Melvins, Unsane and Today Is the Day.
Last month, the band let loose a sneak preview of the sinister sounds via a quickie album trailer starring an affable plush monster. Now, Dog Years' "Munera" is being previewed in full with a video starring the horned-hero and an Illuminati-styled ursine figure, with dizzying shots of swirling body parts and cloudscapes injected throughout the clip.
You can see the video for the percussive crusher, said to be the album's longest song, down below.
The Great Sabatini had also promised a batch of tour dates in support of Dog Years, and have now unveiled a tour schedule that has them kicking off the tour later this month out in Thunder Bay, heading out as far west in Canada as Vancouver, dipping down into the U.S., and then making their way back towards Quebec. You'll find the itinerary beneath ' tracklisting. That's the album's amazingly cute cover art above.
