We knew that reunited post-hardcore vets Grade were working on a deluxe reissue of their 1997 EP Separate the Magnets, but it looks as if the band also have some new music on the way arriving on 7-inch vinyl.
Little exists in the form of concrete details, but this past weekend Grade uploaded an iTunes screengrab onto their Facebook page hinting at the possibility of multiple 45's coming our way. As you'll see up above, "SONG2," which we'll assume for the time being isn't a Blur cover, is filed on this particular player under New 7"s.
The Burlington band have yet to offer more details on their wax plans, but older Facebook posts suggest Grade tracked the new tunes back in January.
It's as yet unclear whether these songs will, like Separate the Magnets, be issued through Dine Alone Records. A due date for the older EP has yet to be decided upon, but the repress upgrades the release from its 10-inch beginnings to 12-inch wax, has been remastered, and includes "revamped artwork" from bassist Matt Jones.
Though we'll have to wait for more info on all of Grade's upcoming releases, the band have confirmed a couple of upcoming live shows. You'll find the details down below.
Tour dates:
09/05 Ottawa, ON - Ritual
09/06 Quebec City, QC - Envol et Macadam
