Get Reviews of Justin Timberlake, Billy Bragg, KEN Mode, Marnie Stern and More in This Week's New Release Roundup

BY Nicole RuggieroPublished Mar 19, 2013

New music releases are starting to flow like so much melting snow, and it can be hard to keep up with them all. In that spirit, we've gone through the bunch and separated the good from the bad. Read below to get an idea of what's playing in our headphones this week.

First up is Justin Timberlake, whose third studio album, The 20/20 Experience, is "the pitcher of water handed to those who've staggered through the mainstream pop desert desperately seeking something to quench their R&B-lite thirsts," according to our reviewer. Then there's Billy Bragg, whose typical activist anthems have been replaced with mellow lullabies on Tooth & Nail.

Winnipeg noisemakers and Exclaim! cover stars KEN Mode have returned with Entrench, which earns an Exclaim! Mark of Excellence from our critic for embodying a live-off-the-floor feel. Marnie Stern's The Chronicles of Marnia features material that evinces Stern's personal growth over the past few years, but has she grown musically? Read our review to find out.

Phosphorescent demonstrates confidence throughout Muchacho, but you'll have to click through to read whether that means the album has staying power or not. Elsewhere, read up to see whether the eclecticism of Ghostkeeper's Horse Chief! War Thief!'s new one pays off.

Keep checking Exclaim!'s Recently Reviewed section for more albums as we review them, and see the New and Forthcoming Release Dates page for updates on new releases.
