GD Luxxe

GD Luxxe (aka, Gerhard Potuznik of Vienna, Austria) is a significant name in underground electronic music. His collaborations with Cheap’s Patrick Pulsinger and Chicks on Speed were the foundation of an extremely prolific career with releases on many synth-pop labels and the formation of Potuznik’s own Angelika Koehlermann label. Make is an amazing album of dark, post-industrial electro punk and introspective, synth-driven, pop that makes for pleasurable listening and great dancing. Potuznik writes and records most of his songs with guitar and vocals only to reconstruct them with electronics, the results are songs with intelligent and interesting lyrics and flowing melodies, more like real music than the monotonous loop de loops of some electronic compositions.
