FRIGS

"Solid State" (video)

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Mar 20, 2018

FRIGS dropped their debut album Basic Behaviour last month, and now the Toronto group have unveiled some visuals for LP cut "Solid State."

The clip finds frontwoman Bria Salmena and her bandmates exploring inner dialogues about gender, age and background.

"While the video was intended to be a darker, more surreal exploration of these themes, the filming process ended up being a typical comforting visit with my grandmother," she said in a statement. "Exploring her aged house, and enjoying a meal with her. We were able to capture a candid and sombre time. The real effect the video has is one of overwhelming nostalgia and self reflection."
