Toronto rap collaborators Tona, Adam Bomb, Frankie Payne, Theo3, Progress and Big Sproxx are preparing to release their debut album as Freedom Writers this fall, and in advance of Now, they have shared a song called "Real."
This was Freedom Writers' first recorded collaboration. It was cut shortly before Progress came on board, meaning that he's absent from this one. A press release describes it as "an on-the-spot, stake-your-claim, speak-your-piece type of track." It sports a flurry of rhymes over a laid-back, old-school-sounding beat.
Freedom Writers will perform at Toronto's Yonge-Dundas Square for Manifesto Festival on September 22.
