Anyone who remembers the birth of Thrasher Magazine, ten-inch wide Sims skateboards, Tracker Trucks, the Bones Brigade, Power Pivots and many other fixtures of skateboarding's dark days of the early '80s will surely have to love this disc. The nostalgia quotient is higher than the top of Christian Hosoi's tube socks on this remastered collection of Dead Kennedy's/Suicidal Tendencies/Black Flag-inspired skate rock from some of the scene's fixtures, such as Tommy Guerrero and his brother Tony. The production is crude and the songwriting elementary, but there's a certain stripped down purity and unpretentious presentation that makes it endearing and one hell of a trip down memory lane for old-school skate punks who refuse to die.
