Alt-rock group Foo Fighters have had to postpone two upcoming shows in Alberta. Their concerts in Edmonton and Calgary this week will now take place next month.

Following their show at Safeco Field in Seattle, frontman Dave Grohl lost his voice. "That's the last time I ever make out with Bono," he joked, referring to the U2 frontman's similar recent mishap.

The Edmonton show that was previously scheduled for September 4 at Rogers Place will now happen on October 22. The Calgary concert that was previously scheduled for September 6 at the Saddledome will now take place on October 23.

Tickets purchased for the initial shows will be honoured at the rescheduled events. If you can't attend the new show, refunds will be available at point of purchase until September 25.
