Flux A.D.

After line-up turmoil following the release of their highly underrated Passive Aggressive release last year, Flux A.D.'s core duo of Bill Majoros and Julie MacDonald offer two new songs and three considerably different remixes of album tracks. The influence of new keyboardist/programmer Graham Walsh is moving this Hamilton, ON, rock band into increasingly trippy territory, without losing any of their pop smarts. Decorated by skittering drum machines and burbling keyboards, MacDonald's stargazing vocals veer closer to Laika's dreamscapes. This is all great and gorgeous, but hopefully Majoros doesn't leave his inner guitar god behind.
