After sharing single "LesAlpx" back in June, Floating Points has now shared the rest of the details behind a new album.

Titled Crush, the latest from producer Sam Shepherd is set to arrive October 18 through Ninja Tune. Twelve tracks in length, the album was made during an "intense" five-week period and was inspired by a series of 2017 shows at which Shepherd opened for The xx.

Those shows saw Shepherd alone onstage with a Buchla synthesizer, and while he expected that his sets would "be really melodic and slow-building," he ended up creating "some of the most obtuse and aggressive music I've ever made, in front of 20,000 people every night," he said in a statement. "It was liberating."

Alongside the announcement, Shepherd has shared album cut "Last Bloom," which you can find a video for below. He released his debut studio album as Floating Points, Elaenia, in 2015.

Crush is now available for pre-order.
