Flash Lightnin' and the Novaks Team Up for Canadian Winter Tour

Both Toronto's Flash Lightnin' (pictured) and St. John's the Novaks owe a debt to '70s rock, as the former borrows from the Southern boogie of ZZ Top while the latter evokes the heartland stylings of Tom Petty. It makes perfect sense, then, that the two bands will be hitting the road together this December, embarking upon a brief joint tour.

The co-headlining jaunt will cover the eastern half of the country, starting in Charlottetown, PEI and wrapping up in Kingston, ON. All told, there are nine shows in five different provinces in 11 days.

See the full schedule below. Along the way, Flash Lightnin' will be promoting their self-titled LP, which came out earlier this year via Pheromone Recordings. The Novaks, meanwhile, will be pumping up their 2009 album Things Fall Apart, which was released via Sonic. They also put out the digital-only EP Big World back in April.
