Back in September, Swedish sister act First Aid Kit announced their next album, the Conor Oberst-assisted The Lion's Roar, well ahead of its projected January 24 street date. Similarly, the group have unveiled a headlining North American tour in support of their follow-up to 2010's The Big Black and the Blue, but the dates don't take place for another four months.
A press release for the group explains that while they could technically be trotting out some new material on their current tour with Lykke Li, come March the band will be out on the U.S. East Coast with their new tunes definitely in tow. They'll arrive in Canada shortly thereafter, with gigs set for Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver. You can check the full schedule below.
While both The Lion's Roar and its impending tour cycle are still a ways off, First Aid Kit are offering up the title track digitally and on a seven-inch December 6. Featured on the flip will be new track "Marianne's Son." Like the album, it will be issued by Wichita Records.
