Although this is a side project of Johnny Bonnel and Darius Koski, singer and guitarist of the Swingin' Utters, it has enough weight to stand on its own. The closest comparison that could be made about this is that it sounds like the Pogues. Beyond that, there are hints of the Clash and Billy Bragg in these nine tunes of thoughtful booze-up anthems, which don't get to caught up in trying to sound "Celtic." This is a good warm-up for what are, hopefully, better things to come.
