Fans Petition to Keep Trapt Off 'Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1+2' Soundtrack

"Trapt is wack and we ain't letting an amazing game be ruined by Trapt's weak-ass song"

After finding out that the first two Tony Hawk Pro Skater games would be getting a 4K remaster edition later this year, fans have taken it upon themselves to keep controversial "County Fair MAGA Emo" band Trapt as far away from the soundtrack as possible.

In recent days, some fans have gone as far as to create online petitions to garner the attention of Activision, the company responsible for the remaster, rallying against the inclusion of the band's 2002 song, "Headstrong," in the games.

All of this is in response to recent controversy stirred up by the band's Chris Taylor Brown, who has been using Trapt's social media accounts to go on homophobic, xenophobic, fatphobic and pro-Trump tirades to the simultaneous amusement and dismay of everyone involved.

"Trapt is wack and we ain't letting an amazing game be ruined by Trapt's weak-ass song," one petition description reads.

Another petition reads:

Trapt is a washed-up rock group whose lead vocalist routinely tweets racist commentary and political misinformation. It was recently announced that "headstrong", one of the bands few commercial successes, will be included in the tracklisting for the newly remastered Tony Hawk Pro Skater games. I encourage all those who condemn the behavior of Christopher Taylor Brown to join me by signing this petition to have their music pulled from the game and boycotting its release until they do.

Additionally, some fans have taken the petitions as an opportunity to side with Power Trip, who recently got into a very public Twitter pissing contest with Brown over which band could draw a larger crowd.

That fight is referenced in another petition:

Let's replace "Headstrong" on Tony Hawks Pro Skater Remastered with a track by Power Trip and show that doofus Chris Taylor Brown and his hot takes that he's played out, washed up, and nobody cares about his opinions or his garbage music. Power Trip is the bigger band, with more fans, and deserves to replace them on the new game.

At the time of reporting, the Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1+2 official soundtrack on Spotify does not include "Headstrong" or any other song by Trapt.
