The Fall Prep New EP and Live Record Ahead of 2014 Album Release

BY Alex HudsonPublished Oct 3, 2013

Songwriter Mark E. Smith and his band the Fall have been on a prolific tear since the late '70s, so it's no surprise to learn that, following this year's Re-Mit, the legendary post-punk outfit are releasing a new EP and a live album — both via Cherry Red Records — ahead of yet another studio album.

As Slicing Up Eyeballs points out, the EP is called The Remainderer and it contains six new tunes, which will be released on CD and 10-inch vinyl on November 11. See the tracklist below and the cover art above.

The label calls The Remainderer "a bridging point between albums," with the Fall's next LP slated to arrive in 2014, also through Cherry Red. In the meantime, the EP is available to pre-order from the label's online store.

The live album, on the other hand, is simply called Live. It will be released on CD on November 25. Cherry Red notes that it "has been collated from various gigs over the last three years." The 12-song tracklist is below, and the artwork can be viewed here.
