Toronto's Exploders are loud, raunchy and probably really ugly. But they know how to rock. Formerly known as Exploder 01, the Exploders fuse '70s punk, '60s garage surf and '50s rock and roll into a sound that's, well, if there was a girl whose parents you're trying to impress, this isn't the music to do it with. The Exploders pedigree is impressive, though, with ex-members of Leather Uppers, Starkweather Fix, Smallmouth and the Cleavers ripping it up but good. This is primordial rock that'll satisfy any cravings you have left after listening to the MC5 on acid and beer. Good stuff.
