Excessives

Vancouver’s Excessives have that first-hand experience with ’80s hardcore that gives them an extra edge. With a tough and harsh sound reminiscent of early D.O.A., this Vancouver quartet isn’t trying to make friends or impress anyone. Featuring members of the Real McKenzies and the Hell Caminos, these boys spit out 11 songs worth of mid-tempo hardcore that’s chock full o’ sandpapered vocals and hateful wit. The CD is also enhanced with three live videos that my computer didn’t want to play but they seem to be the kind of band that gives a punishing live performance so you probably wouldn’t be let down.
