Evenko Calls Off All Quebec Events for the Next 30 Days Due to Coronavirus

In the wake of coronavirus being declared a pandemic, Quebec concert promoter Evenko will be suspending all future events for a period of 30 days.

Evenko made the announcement in a press release after Quebec Premier Francois Legaut urged the province to cancel all indoor events that would attract crowds of more than 250 people.

"The company understands and respects the government's decision to take the necessary steps to control the risk of the virus spreading," Evenko wrote in its announcement.

It added, "Specific information for each event will be communicated as soon as possible. In the meantime, ticket holders are invited to keep their tickets for future events."

Upcoming Evenko events include concerts by such acts as Matthew Good, Thundercat, Anti-Flag, Gallant, Best Coast Alan Doyle, Sepultura and many more. You can view all the promoter's upcoming events here.

The news comes following reports that Live Nation would be making a similar move and pausing all its events worldwide until the end of the month.

As previously reported, Evenko entered a strategic partnership with Live Nation late last year.
