After delivering their New Path album last year, Essaie Pas have returned with a new EP.
The Montreal duo of Marie Davidson and Pierre Guerineau have unveiled a surprise three-track EP dubbed Earth, which arrives today through DFA Records. You can hear the entire thing in the player below.
Said to pick up where the aforementioned New Path left off, "Earth" is described as "an amalgamation of techno and trance," while the slower "Corps Étranger" samples a speech by Dr. Gabor Maté. The EP is rounded out by a remix of the title track, helmed by Marco Passarani of Tiger & Woods.
Earth is also available for pre-order on coloured vinyl through the duo's Bandcamp page.
Last year, Davidson released solo album Working Class Woman, which Exclaim! named a Top 10 Dance and Electronic album of 2018. The album was shortlisted for the 2019 Polaris Music Prize.
