London, ON, DJ EsB serves up a 12-track mix of current drum & bass tunes. The disc starts in a mellow mood before evolving into the moodier music the genre is known for. Strangely, the beats are fairly simple and repetitive, a surprising change from the complexity of most drum & bass. The linearity of the beats and tracks left me often wondering when the mix was really going to take off. It's only the second half of the disc where things begin to jump. More tracks, and more mixing, would make this a much more exciting compilation.
