Empty Heads

"Deceiver" (video)

Often describing themselves as "slime pop" and "brunch rock," Empty Heads are a feedback-drenched, melodic punk band that features members of Western Canadian institutions like Unfun, Sabertooth and PMMA. They've been on our radar since they released their excellent demo last year, and today they're back with a new video.

"Deceiver" is a gut-punching anthem that demonstrates everything the band does best. The vocals are raw and angsty, the guitars are a thick blanket of fuzz and the chorus will surely have you singing along the second time it comes around. In fitting with the '90s aesthetic, the video is made up of edited footage from the 1950s — a classic look that you would've seen all over The Wedge way back when.

Watch the video for "Deceiver" below. The song will appear on Empty Heads' debut 7-inch, set to arrive on July 21 via Debt Offensive.
