Instead of the ever-typical headline of Elvis being spotted alive in someones trailer park, Scottish police have found a collection of Elvis Presley memorabilia that may be worth a big hunk of cash. A gold record and a framed signed picture of the King uncovered at a home in Edinburgh during a search by police.
Along with those items a framed scrap of paper with lyrics to the hit "American Pie, seemingly written by Don McLean, were found. Lothian and Borders police say that the items may be genuine and stolen, and are appealing to the owners to come forward.
A spokesman said: "The value of the items is not known, but they look genuine and if they have been stolen then we hope that the original owner will recognise them and contact us."
