Fiery Furnaces member Eleanor Friedberger plays a radio DJ in Sara Magenheimer's new film False Alphabets, and now she has released a song and video to accompany the flick called "False Alphabet City."
The song is a peppy, poppy rock tune with lots of lyrical references to both the alphabet and to a "city so nice they named it twice." In the accompanying clip, we see footage of Friedberger acting as a radio DJ in False Alphabets. She also stages a live, street-side performance with her band and gawks at a fender-bender.
This is Friedberger first new material since 2013's Personal Record, and her first single since signing to Frenchkiss Records.
Tour dates:
11/02 Los Angeles, CA - Bardot (School Night)
11/03 San Francisco, CA - Brick & Mortar (Wood Shoppe)
11/05 Los Angeles, CA - El Cid
11/09 New York, NY - Pianos
11/10 Brooklyn, NY - Union Pool
