Ever wondered what Perry Farrell would sound like fronting a punk band? The new EP by the East Bay Chasers may give you a good idea. This is their second outing after a well received full-length and may grab them some more attention. Using their melodic and mid-tempo early '80s hardcore influences to the fullest, the Chasers have more than a little in common with outfits like the Adolescents and even T.S.O.L. Also, fans of recent Bay Area acts like the Criminals may notice some similarities. However, while the press sheet draws comparisons with Guns n' Roses, that may be pushing it.
