If you haven't heard them, you could could say the lo-fi, female-fronted indie pop/punk group share a similar sound with Vivian Girls. In fact, they also share a member, with former Vivian drummer Frankie Rose now beating the skins for the Dum Dums.

As far as the Dum Dum Girls' Sub Pop debut is concerned , the album is slated for an early 2010 release. The band have already released a batch of sold-out EPs on hip labels like HoZac, Captured Tracks and Zoo Music.
