Disclosure have been very generous in the lead-up to Caracal, and now the brotherly British duo have rolled out the latest in a string of cuts from their new album. This one is called "Hourglass," and it features New York duo Lion Babe.
The song is a clubby dance track that anchors its swaggering grooves with thudding drum machines, burbling bass and textured synth pads. Lion Babe vocalist Jillian Hervey, meanwhile, contributes hooky soul-pop melodies, which are edited and chopped up during the danceable instrumental passages.
Harvey said in a statement [via Pitchfork], "This is the first time I have done a 'feature' record and I am glad it was with Disclosure. Not only am I a genuine fan of them, but I love house music and thought it would be a great collaboration and opportunity."
As with other cuts from Caracal, the song is accompanied by a silhouetted visualizer.
Caracal will land on September 25 through PMR/Island. Check out Disclosure's tour schedule here.
