Indie-leaning pop singer Sky Ferreira and DIIV leader Zachary Cole Smith were both reportedly arrested Friday night (September 13) in Saugerties, New York.

Pitchfork points to a report from the Daily Freeman, who explain that Ferreira was arrested "on misdemeanour charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance and resisting arrest."

Smith had it considerably worse, and was "charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, one count of possession of stolen property and one count of aggravated unlicensed driving, all misdemeanours. He was also charged with the violations of unregistered motor vehicle, driving without insurance, unlicensed driver, and having an inadequate exhaust system."

Further, the paper reports that Smith possessed a "plastic bag containing 42 decks of heroin," and Ferreira "was found in possession of ecstasy."

While he was driving, Cole allegedly made several traffic infractions. When police ran the plates, they found out that the truck he was driving was stolen. Cole was already wanted for an outstanding vehicle and traffic warrant.

UPDATE: On Twitter, Smith wrote, "what you're reading is a police blotter, not the outcome of a court case. these cops wanted to fuck us, and they did. sky did nothing wrong."
