I Whistle You Dance

BY Rob FerrazPublished Jun 1, 2001

Assuming you can forgive the goofy band name, this record is quite a gem. Hailing from Yugoslavia, they play raunchy garage punk in the New Bomb Turks/Electric Frankenstein vein. Interestingly, this quartet has two guitarists and no bass player. This was recorded in late 1997 (this was released in 1999) and except for a few tracks, it delivers an energetic punch. With 12 songs in all, the standouts include the raunchy surf of "Handy Man" the catchy sing-along of "I Can Sink Anything" and the galloping, horn-laden "Lizard's Tongue."
