Deerhoof have teamed up with Pedro the Lion songwriter David Bazan to bring the latest instalment of the band's ongoing seven-inch series. The premise of the series is that Deerhoof take an instrumental from their 2011 release Deerhoof vs. Evil and have a vocalist collaborate on it by performing their own lyrics and melody.
The new track is a ballad featuring Bazan's heart-wrenching lyrics and laced with colourful flamenco guitar licks. The original album version was titled "No One Asked to Dance," and Bazan's new version has been aptly named "No One Asked Bazan to Dance."
