They’ve come a long way from Tales From the Crib, and on this, their fourth album, they’ve come up with some excellent material. The music shifts easily from Promise Ring-style melody (“And Then I Awoke”), to emo hardcore (“A Foundation for Positive Change”) in the blink of an eye. On “Past Friendships” they slide into a Jawbreaker-style ballad complete with melancholy lyrics. This record goes a fair distance in capturing the energy they have on stage and is one you don’t want to pass up.
