DLT are part of a new wave of punk-influenced emo rock that brings harmony and big rock soundscapes together with angst-fuelled lyrics and barely contained energy under one big all-encompassing roof. The bands thick sound is akin to that of mid-90s originators like Sunny Day Real Estate, the Juliana Theory and Sense Field, who werent afraid to use the classic rock inspirations of their youth in their indie rock ways. Part of what adds to DLTs fuller sound is the dedicated keyboard player. This second release finds the band more comfortable and confident in their songwriting and playing. Inventure is both powerful and epic.
