This morning (May 1), Exclaim! delivered our track-by-track rundown of Daft Punk's upcoming Random Access Memories. Of album closer "Contact," featuring DJ Falcon, we said that it "leaves the listener breathless," and you can check a very early version of the track now to hopefully discover the same.
As FACT points out, the track was apparently performed during a DJ set in 2002 at Amsterdam's Paradiso by Daft Punk's Thomas Bangalter, Cassius and Falcon.
You can listen to the simmering synth builder in the YouTube clip below, and check out the entire set in that SoundCloud player.
The polished and perfected "Contact," meanwhile, arrives with the rest of Random Access Memories May 21 via Columbia Records imprint Daft Life Limited.
