Upon leaving his performance at Bojangles' Coliseum in Charlotte, NC, last night (December 23), DaBaby was reportedly swarmed by 15 police officers who claimed to have been tipped off about guns and drugs in the rapper's vehicle.

In the scramble, police did find cannabis in the vehicle, and DaBaby was temporarily detained.

In footage obtained by TMZ, the rapper is seen cuffed and arguing with cops over his apparent potential arrest. Later, he was cited for possession and resisting an officer and released. He was not officially arrested.

DaBaby was later interviewed by WCNC News and made the following statement:

"CMPD – unlawful police department. Unlawfully searched my car, arrested me," DaBaby told reporters. "Every time. There's nobody when I pull up in the parking lot, the second I get out the car, 15 cops come around. They follow me, they pull us over for no reason. They search our cars."
