The Difference Between Houses And Homes

BY Sam SutherlandPublished Oct 1, 2005

Sometimes songs should stay lost. A collection of "lost songs and loose ends,” this release is for die-hard fans of sadness and Tim Kasher only. The record is not without its merits though; "Nostalgia,” the newest track on the record and the only to feature cellist Gretta Cohn, is worth hearing, but it’s immediately followed by the horrible "The Knowledgeable Hasbeens,” which should never be heard, along with most of the tracks included here. While an obsessive Saddle Creek fanatic might see some merit in owning the previously unreleased "Dispenser” or "I Thought There’d Be More Than This,” most others won’t. Because they are bad.
