Nola rapper Curren$y spent his spring and summer months repping the Jet Life, travelling around North America in support of his The Stoned Immaculate LP. Now, the rapper will follow up that high-soaring major label effort with a freebie mixtape, #PriestAndretti.
Last night (October 25), Spitta tweeted a link to a trailer for the set, which will arrive October 31. The clip previews a new tune, with Curren$y slinging rhymes smoothly over a '70s soul beat featuring a fluttery flute loop. While the hip-hop figure has been pretty obvious with his pro-weed stance over the years, the trailer includes some keys-pushing footage from Super Fly.
A tracklisting has yet to pop up for #PriestAndretti, but, really, there's less than a week's wait for the tape to drop.
As Hip Hop DX points out, there will be even more Curren$y cuts on the way in the form of another collab with Wiz Khalifa called Live in Concert. The follow-up to their 2009 mixtape How Fly was originally schedule to drop last August, but it's unclear at this point when it will actually arrive.
