Crystal Stilts Announce North American Dates

BY Brock ThiessenPublished Nov 10, 2008

Following the recent release of the Exclaim!-approved Alight the Night, Brooklyn’s Crystal Stilts have announced they will be paying Canada a visit. The lo-fi garage popsters have just extended their North American tour, adding one show in Montreal and another in Toronto, as well as a few in the U.S.

The tour date announcement comes as Crystal Stilts wrap up a string of North American shows with their Slumberland label-mates caUSE co-MOTION!, who will be replaced by Sweden’s Love Is All on the upcoming shows. Like the Stilts, Love Is All will also be promoting a new album; the Swedes’ A Hundred Things Keep Me Up At Night is due out tomorrow (November 11) and will come courtesy of What’s Your Rupture?

If you’re wondering what you’re in for from the Stilts live experience, in a recent interview with Exclaim!, Crystal Stilts bassist Andy Adler had this to say about the band’s show: "It’s definitely a bit more out of necessity and way more stripped-down. But there’s still a lot of reverb everywhere and maybe the Velvet Underground side comes out a bit more.”
