Crystal Antlers Return with Two-Way Mirror

Long Beach, CA psych rockers Crystal Antlers have remained relatively quiet since the release of their 2009 album, Tentacles, only releasing the "Little Sister" / "Dead Horse" seven-inch in 2010. Fortunately, they haven't called it quits, as the group have revealed details for a new album.

The record is called Two-Way Mirror and will be released on the group's Recreation Ltd. imprint. Incredibly, the album features cover art (see above) courtesy of legendary visual artist Raymond Pettibon, best known for his iconic work with Black Flag.

Lending a hand with recording were producer Ikey Owens and engineers Anthony Athony Arvizu and Jeff Lewis, all of whom worked on Crystal Antlers' debut EP. Also on board for the album was producer/mixer Jack Endino (Nirvana, Mudhoney).

According to the press release, "The production of Two-Way Mirror encompasses an enormous spectrum of sonic textures dynamically flowing from song to song with all of the intensity the band has come to be known for."

Two-Way Mirror will be available on July 12. Album track "Summer Solstice" can be downloaded here in exchange for your email address.
