A couple of years after confessing their Crimes of Passion, dream pop project Crocodiles have announced an upcoming single release to help tease a forthcoming LP, titled Boys.
A two-song 7-inch featuring album cut "Crybaby Demon" is being issued February 17 through Zoo Music. According to a press release, the song was captured during the Boys recording sessions in Mexico City.
The song is described as "salsa-punk" and is apparently marked with six-stringer Charles Rowell's psychedelic guitars, "Latin trashcan percussion" and the sneers of frontman Brandon Welchez. The A-side is further described as the "tale of a fallen angel, head still in the clouds, abusive and abused."
The flip will feature an apparently noisy revamp of '70s funk unit Hot Chocolate's signature "You Sexy Thing," which will be exclusive to the 7-inch. You'll find the cover art for the single up above.
Not much else has been offered up behind Boys, with neither a tracklisting nor a due date available at press time. It's unclear if the record, the band's fifth full-length overall, will be issued via Zoo Music or through Frenchkiss, who issued 2012's Endless Flowers and 2013's Crimes of Passion.
