On last year's Keep Full Ambitious, Vancouver music scene staple Kenton Loewen went solo under the moniker the Crackling. He will soon follow it up with the EP Ashen, due out on May 22 via File Under: Music. Now, we've got a taste of that disc in the form of "Keep Me Drunk."
The track is a melancholic folk cut that blends Loewen's world-weary vocals with sombre accordion and guest vocals from Vancouver Children's Choir. As previously revealed, this song was recorded at Vancouver's Christchurch Cathedral and is "a metaphor for love, rather than an ode to alcohol."
