With North Carolina metal vets Corrosion of Conformity's new IX on the horizon, the band have now announced a summer tour behind the set that will have them traveling with reunited hardcore unit BL'AST!
A brief delay has pushed the release of the album from its intended June 24 street date via Candlelight Records to next Tuesday (July 1), while a press release explains that COC's two-week tour begins in August. While most of these shows take place on U.S. soil, the trip concludes at Vancouver's Rickshaw Theatre on September 1.
In addition to BL'AST!, who unearthed their The Expression of Power sessions earlier this year, the tour also features sets from Brant Bjork & the Low Desert Punk Band and Lord Dying.
As for Corrosion of Conformity's set, vocalist/bassist Mike Dean said in a statement that they'll be concentrating on songs from IX, their self-titled comeback album, 1994's Deliverance and their 1985 classic, Animosity.
