Corb Lund Readies 'Things That Can't Be Undone,' Plots Tour

BY Josiah HughesPublished Aug 20, 2015

Alberta country rocker Corb Lund has unveiled plans to release a follow-up to last year's Counterfeit Blues. While that was a collection of old songs re-recorded, this new LP marks his first new material in three years.

The album is called Things That Can't Be Undone and was produced by Dave Cobb (who has previously worked with Jason Isbell and Sturgill Simpson).

In a press release, Lund opened up about his work with Cobb, saying, "Dave has a very organic, and somewhat retro, way of working. He's into old-school sounds and less processing. It's a real natural sort of sound, which I'm also very into. He's very spontaneous and he wasn't afraid to tear apart my arrangements and start over. It was good for us."

Things That Can't Be Undone will arrive on October 9 via New West Records. Album track "Weight of the Gun" can be streamed below, where you'll also find Lund's upcoming tour dates.
