Makeout Videotape leader Mac DeMarco recently ditched his former project to release a solo album, but what about the band's other member, drummer Alex Calder? Well, he's got a project of his own too, Collage Party, and he recently put out an EP called Suki and Me.
The collection has three tracks: "Time," "Suki and Me" and a demo of a tune called "Marcel." They don't sound too different from the brittle, lo-fi fuzz pop he specialized in as a member of Makeout Videotape.
Collage Party has that signature Makeout Videotape sense of humour, too; on Bandcamp, Suki and Me is tagged "pee pee," while Calder's bio lists his email address, along with the phrase "If you wanna cyber." A tempting offer, to be sure.
