Colin Stetson Brings Polaris-Nominated Album on Canada/U.S. Tour

Montreal-based artist Colin Stetson made some truly incredible sounds with his saxophone on the album New History Warfare Vol. 2: Judges. He did so well, in fact, that the record made the Polaris Music Prize short list. Now, he is gearing up to take his avant-garde sounds on a brief North American tour.

Following a Halifax appearance this Saturday (July 9), Stetson will embark on a short trip next month that will include Canadian shows in Hamilton, Ottawa and Quebec City, along with some select shows in the United States. All dates are available below.

As previously reported, the Polaris Prize will be announced on September 19 at Toronto's Masonic Temple. If Stetson's album doesn't win, there's still a chance he will be involved with the winner, as he also performed on Arcade Fire's The Suburbs and Timber Timbre's Creep On Creepin' On, both of which are also up for the Polaris Music Prize.
