Coldplay already gave their latest single "Higher Power" a video of sorts, but apparently there's always room for more content. After all, they have just sunk a whole lot of money into their newly shared "official video" for the track.
As you'll see, the clip really wants us to call it "epic," as it presents some maximalist sci-fi landscape that really wants to be Blade Runner (but definitely isn't). And like the previous visuals for "Higher Power," we also have a bunch of dancing aliens — and a dad-dancing Chris Martin — to deal with.
"The video is a metaphor for how, right now, we all feel alienated, far removed from our world, almost like we're on an alien planet," video director Dave Meyers said in a statement. "And ultimately we find love in the streets and that euphoria shoots us off into the stratosphere of our own energy and higher power."
