Coldplay are nearly four full years removed from sharing seventh studio album A Head Full of Dreams, though according to a report, fans won't be waiting much longer for a follow-up.
As the U.K.'s Daily Star reports, sources close to the band say the group will release a new album in November that will show "the more experimental side of Coldplay." The site reports that a second "more mainstream pop collection" will arrive afterwards in 2020.
A Brazilian Chris Martin fan page has also pointed to the appearance of a mysterious poster in a São Paulo subway station on Monday (October 14). As seen below, the graphic shows a photo of the band and points to November 22, 1919.
As the Teco Apple site reports, however, the poster was already removed by Tuesday. According to a subway official, the material was removed because it was placed before the agreed date, making it all that more suspicious.
Last year, Coldplay's friend and collaborator Mat Whitecross revealed that the band would return to action in 2019 to work on their eighth studio effort, telling NME, "I've heard a few things and filmed a few bits of them talking about it, but I don't think I'm allowed to share anything. It's interesting."
A Head Full of Dreams, which was released in 2015, was followed by a companion EP and concert film.
